Soren Gordhamer explores the application of ancient wisdom in modern life. He is the founder and host of the Wisdom 2.0 Conference, which brings together technology leaders along with teachers from wisdom traditions to explore how we can live mindfully and wisely in modern life, and engage the great technologies of our age in ways that benefit us, our society, and our world.
Why is Wisdom Ventures important to you?
For me the question is not whether technology will be a part of our lives; it is whether we will create technologies that support human thriving and connection, or that support addiction and isolation. I am passionate to support a new generation of companies that do the former. I feel this is central to our survival as a species.
The vision for the fund started through initial conversations and visioning with Cecily, then quickly expanded to a greater network of people and support. All of us are in service to the larger needs of our planet, and moving from me to the power of “we.” Wisdom Ventures is a new type of fund focused on taking ancient wisdom and applying it to the opportunities and challenges of our day.
